World News Report:
This is a lottery record: A luck from Baden-Wuerttemberg has cleared up the highest lottery profit so far for Germany. The keeper cracked the Eurojackpot in the amount of 90 million euros.
"This is the highest lottery profit ever in Germany," confirmed Bodo Kemper from Westlotto in Münster. Now it is time to wait: When and where will the lucky winner report?
These are the numbers that make the German Tipper a multi-millionaire: 7-10-25-39-42 plus the two additional numbers 3 and 6. They were drawn on Friday evening in Helsinki. Previously, the pot had not been cracked ten times in a row. "Once again, the profit goes to Germany, which of course is immense," said Kemper.
Another million winners from Germany
The player is, however, not the only one-million-winner from Germany: A total of eight other players had marked five correct numbers as well as a correct additional number - they each receive around 2.8 million euros. This applies to two Finns and one Dutchman, but also for two Bavarians, one Baden-Württemberg, one Hessen and one Sachsen.
The record for all 17 participating countries in the Eurojackpot so far also amounted to 90 million euros and comes from the year 2015. A Lottospieler from the Czech Republic must now be the top place.
The previous best mark of a German tipper was only a few weeks old. In August 2016, an employee from Nordhessen won exactly 84.8 million euros. This record can only be set, but not exceeded: the Eurojackpot prize money is capped at 90 million euros. Each additional euro flows into profit class 2.
At the Eurojackpot the profit probability for the main gain is 1 to 95 million. For this, 5 from 50 as well as 2 from 10 numbers must be correctly typed. The chance for six correct plus super number in the classic "6 out of 49" is even lower and is 1 to 140 million.
According to the organizers, the Eurojackpot could theoretically account for some 269 million players in 17 nations. Prerequisite: You must be at least 18, in some countries 21 years old.
